Pick a side (Dec 13 2003 16:23 GMT) - Reality has hit my sister head on. Carrie started college in Bloomsburg, but wasn't accepted for Fall semester [only Summer and Spring, to begin with] and then was going to live with my dad for a semester at community until the Spring semester began. Now Carrie's mother [not my mother] has fucked up her financial aid paperwork and she can't go back to Bloomsburg. Of course, this has set off a war for Carrie's affections between my father and her mother, neither of which can seem to fathom doing anything in Carrie's best interests. Carrie's mother wants her to live with her and go to community, which she claims she will pay for [despite screwing up Carrie's financial aid and then refusing to pay for Bloomsburg]. |

Finger Whisper (Dec 13 2003 16:23 GMT) - The FingerWhisper currently being developed at the NTT DoCoMo Yokosuka R&D center. Worn on the wrist, this watch-like terminal converts voice to vibration through an actuator and channels this vibration through the bones to the tip of the index finger. By inserting this finger into the ear canal, the vibration can be heard as voice. The great thing is that the body language of using this phone / headset is just like talking on a traditional handset. This means you wont look like a nutter walking down the street talking to yourself when you're really talking into a little handsfree ear piece.... |
