Re: MailEdit Questions (Dec 13 2003 23:52 GMT) - In my experience Radio seems to handle attached JPEGs OK with the assetManager tool. I just tried a test post from Hotmail with an attached JPEG and it worked fine. Admittedly I've not personally tried every email client but other users of the tool have tried quite a few, both Mac/PC based clients and mobile phone email clients. Radio appears to handle MIME attachments OK including JPEGs, GIFs, MPEGs, MP3 and other binary types (I've tried many different file types successfully). There was an issue handling multiple MIME attachments but Jake fixed that a few months back with a root update. |

Food Simulator: a teledildonic technology? (Dec 13 2003 23:46 GMT) - The Food Simulator is a haptic interface that displays biting force. It is designed to fit to the user's mouth, where it delivers the captured force of real food and auditory and chemical sensations associated with eating. The curved shape of this novel biting-force interface is derived from the structure of the human jaw. It generates forces based on the captured forces of real food, measured with a film-like force sensor. The profile of the biting force of the real food is realized by the Food Simulator's force control. |
