He points out that the installation reports from the new installer have been particularly helpful in identifying some of the problems in d-i, and that the localisation of the installer is progressing rather well. Unfortunately progress with ports is not so good, at this moment in time, progress is only being made on ia64, powerpc, mips and hppa. He is hoping that small teams made up of d-i developers and those who "grok" the architecture might make more progress, if such teams can be established. |
