Tommy, you're permanently expelled! (Dec 14 2003 23:18 GMT) - "Want to get arrested? Walk home with me." It's LawForKids, the site devoted to giving the kids the education they need about drinking and other kewl stuff through the aid of really, really, really crappy cartoons. Plus, enjoy the intellectual and grammar-rich discussion on hard knocks in Juvie, plus Flash games about being a good citizen. Not sure about discouraging kids from crime, but I sure as hell want to stay away from a life of web design now. |

Running Mac OS X Panther (Dec 14 2003 23:18 GMT) - Tuesday I'm going to spend a few hours looking through JDD's new (upcoming) book Running Mac OS X Panther. It aims to be an advanced book that doesn't waste time telling you how to set your desktop pattern. I'm looking forward to it - hopefully it can give me some tips on how to improve some things I do frequently, recommend some good third-party apps I may have overlooked, and that sort of thing. If you're curious, here's a site for it already. |

Arrestation de Saddam (Dec 14 2003 23:18 GMT) - L'ami d'hier est devenu l'homme à abattre d'aujourd'hui. Tous les moyens sont bons. Using the Freedom Of Information Act (Dec 14 2003 23:16 GMT) - The ACLU has long argued that government secrecy about its operations endangers individual liberty. For example, in 1954 the government denied that lethal radiation had resulted from nuclear bomb tests in the South Pacific. News media that attempted to discover the truth about the tests ran into a wall of government silence. In response to this impasse, the ACLU commissioned a report, "The People's Right to Know: A Report on Government News Suppression" which urged that increased media access to government records was necessary to protect democracy. |

Yahoo! (Dec 14 2003 23:16 GMT) - My parents have a party tonight, and they're too lazy to go home so we're staying overnight at Shangri-La hotel! In other news, one of the contractors at my dad's office passed away due to bangungot. I don't know his name... but in any case, pray for him, eh? He was only 25... |
