Lawn Chairs Do Not Save Parking Spaces. (Dec 14 2003 23:11 GMT) - I need to talk about something that has been driving me insane every winter since moving to Boston: the phenomenon of people putting things like garbage cans, lawn chairs, traffic cones and similar bizarre items in the street to save their parking spaces. This happens anytime it snows and people have to shovel their cars out. I assume the logic is that they did the work of shoveling the car out, so now they are "entitled" to the parking space. I think this is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. |
