freshmeat XML-RPC API available (Dec 16 2003 23:11 GMT) - "freshmeat.net is primarily a Web-accessible database. However, apart from requesting interface improvements for the Web part, a lot of people requested scriptable access to our database. As of this writing, we have the first version of our XML-RPC API available for you to use (that's not abuse there!). |

url2bmp (Dec 16 2003 23:11 GMT) - url2bmp url2bmp is a Windows freeware converting an URL to an image. Actually, it writes BMP, PNG, Jpeg or Tiff. I think it just renders the given URL with MSIE, then takes a screenshot at whatever resolution you tell it. Kinda similar to what the backend for iCapture [2003.12. |

Enighed om at eftergiver Iraks gæld (Dec 16 2003 23:11 GMT) - USA, Tyskland og Frankrig er parat til at tilbyde Irak en omfattende gældssanering og eftergive en stor del af det krigshærgede lands gæld.Det sagde en talsmand for den tyske regering tirsdag, efter et møde mellem USA's særlige udsending, tidligere udenrigsminister James Baker, og repræsentanter for den tyske og franske regering.- Den tyske regering og den amerikanske regering er enige om, at en løsning på Iraks gældsproblem er afgørende for genopbygningen af landet, sagde Bela Anda, talsmand for den tyske regering, efter et møde mellem forbundskansler Gerhard Schröder og James Baker i Berlin.Omfattende eftergivelse - Tyskland og USA er - som Frankrig - parat til at sanere Iraks gæld og til også at eftergive en stor del af Iraks gæld, sagde talsmanden.Samtidig blev det meddelt, at Baker, Gerhard Schröder og den franske præsident, Jacques Chirac, er enige om, at den såkaldte Paris Klub af internationale kreditorer må gå med til en omfattende eftergivelse af Iraks gæld. |
