UK/Personal: Enjoying the Story of Christmas (Dec 16 2003 23:46 GMT) - Lorna and I are just back from attending an event called the Story of Christmas at St George's, Hanover Square. It's a big, annual charity fund-raising bash heavily supported by the property industry. As I work for a property industry magazine, we were there in force. It's a weighty do, as well, attended by royals, the Bishop of London and the Lord Mayor. There's a smattering of celebs and politicians, too, including Charles Dance, Ian Hislop, Sue Lawley and Angela Rippon. |

Letting Raving Dogs Lie (Dec 16 2003 23:45 GMT) - So I haven't bothered to write a post on either the latest delusional rantings of one Jim McDermott (D-WA) or the odd sympathies of the Vatican hierarchy for the plight of despotic rulers rather than, as I think Jesus would... |
