(Dec 16 2003 23:26 GMT) - Friday Five (on Monday, Since I Work on Fridays)Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays?I hate cold weather of any kind. As I’ve been mentioned prior, the ideal weather scenario for me is a temperature which is conducive to running around stark naked, without fear of developing sickness or cold appendages. Unless I feel comfortable enough to wear a loincloth, then it’s simply too cold for me to be able to relax and enjoy myself. What is your ideal holiday celebration? |

IRAQI MINISTER TELLS UN TO STOP SNIPING, START HEL... (Dec 16 2003 23:26 GMT) - IRAQI MINISTER TELLS UN TO STOP SNIPING, START HELPING. He even accuses the anti-war Security Council members of appeasement. Sweet."One year ago, the Security Council was divided between those who wanted to appease Saddam Hussein and those who wanted to hold him accountable," Zebari told the 15-nation council, which was sharply divided over the war. "The UN as an organisation failed to help rescue the Iraqi people from a murderous tyranny of 35 years," he said. |

Something the right just don't seem to want to address (Dec 16 2003 23:25 GMT) - Anti-war MPs give Blair no respite over WMD huntTony Blair's delight at the capture of Saddam Hussein was tempered yesterday when Labour MPs warned that it had not changed the fundamental flaws in the legal and moral case for the Iraq war.You don't hear to much about the primary reason Bush gave for invading and occupying Iraq any more do you? The British Parliament doesn't seem to have been neutered by their leadership - Bush better hope that Blair doesn't get nailed because it's going to... |

Hummm ... looks like that didn't work, what's plan "P" (Dec 16 2003 23:25 GMT) - Meanwhile, in Iraq the slaughter goes onMany had hoped the capture of Saddam Hussein would put an end to the insurgency that has been carrying out deadly attacks against US troops and Iraqi targets. But any such wishfulness was swiftly crushed when suicide bombers killed eight Iraqi policemen and injured at least 30 civilians in two suicide bomb attacks in Baghdad. The "many" have deluded themselves, or bought into the Bu$hCo propaganda, that the resistance was made up of die... |

Tyrannical Dictator or college students dorm? (Dec 16 2003 23:23 GMT) - Based on this article in the Washington Post, it seems as though Saddam wasn't exactly living in the lap of luxury during his time away from home. "...a dozen books were piled on top of a chest near the bed. There was a book on interpreting dreams, volumes of classical Arabic poetry titled "Discipline" and "Sin," and Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment." Other books were tossed into boxes with what appeared to be Hussein's clothes. |
