New Look (mostly) (Dec 23 2003 16:17 GMT) - I've changed the look of my blog using Eris Free's Template Maker. The link takes you to an overview page, then after reading it, you click on the link that takes you to the templates. There's a ton of stuff to fill in because he offers many templates (I seem to recall that most have 2 or 3 column choices), many blog packages to choose from, and has us fill out forms with the stuff we're already using on our blog like webrings, button collections, and blank areas for other stuff. He even gives a skinning option, which I used, since I was running into problems doing it on my own. But, if some things are clicked on, they'll still have the old layout/styles due to him not providing every single template for MT. |

Weblog networking: emotional connections (Dec 23 2003 16:11 GMT) - One more piece from e-mails of Martin Dugage:I don't know you, nor do I know Sebastien Paquet, Martin Röll, Judith Meskill or other authors of the few weblogs I scan regularly, but after six months of blogging, I tend to prune my blogrolling list now, keep a shortlist of weblogs I like, and cast the fishing rod once more to find others. But I am not only doing this on the basis of the relevance of those weblogs for my own practice. There is also a personal desire to know more about their authors as people (Who's behind the weblog? |
