Denver 2004 November Election Mike ... (Dec 28 2003 15:58 GMT) - Denver 2004 November Election Mike Miles gets some press coverage from the Denver Post [December 28, 2003, "Unsung Dem could strike chord"]. Miles is challenging Ben Nighthorse Campbell for his Senate seat. He has a large mountain yet to climb. Even the state democratic party is lukewarm to his candidacy right now. It would be unusual for Colorado voters to elect a senator that had not held office before. |

MovType and Trackbacks (Dec 28 2003 15:57 GMT) - Annoying (but understandable): Movable Type doesn't rebuild a page entry when it receives a trackback ping. I guess this is to prevent a Denial of Service attack, but it kinda stinks that I need to rebuild to see who pinged. |

California Ferrets (Dec 28 2003 15:53 GMT) - Some people are hoping that Governor Schwarzenegger will work to end the ban on ferrets. California is one of two states to have such a silly law. Why not legalize them? Now that the Republican Congress has decided to start banning animals, state governments don't have do it anymore. |

Version Numbers (Dec 28 2003 15:50 GMT) - How about copying the Linux kernel numbering system for AudioMan? There are three numbers: the major version, the minor version and the release number. The major version number is incremented whenever there is a major architectural change. For example the Eclipse project incremented the major version number to 3 when they introduced the rich client platform and changed the plugin system. |

Paris Hilton, porn star and traffic generator (Dec 28 2003 15:49 GMT) - Wizbang has some links to Wizbang: the Paris Hilton tapes, but what's really interesting is that through a weird quirk in PageRank, Wizbang got a ton of traffic to their fairly short posting. So my question is, is it worth... |
