Spymac Speculation: What to expect (IMHO) (Dec 28 2003 16:59 GMT) - In the wake of my past two Macworld San Francisco speculation articles, rumors have been swirling surrounding both iPod and iLife updates. That, coupled with the usual surprises and last-minute decisions, adds up to a very exciting Macworld (and well into January, no doubt). Last year’s Macworld was a whirlwind of releases and new technologies, which saw updated PowerBooks, Airport Extreme and iLife. As I’ve said before, this year also looks to see another iLife demonstration, with... |

Download of the Week: PodWorks (Dec 28 2003 16:59 GMT) - After 2003, there are few things about the iPod for people to complain about. Its small stature has been decreased; its backlight has been beefed up; its software has been redesigned to add on-the-go playlists; and its dirt- and dust-attracting FireWire port has been replaced by a handy dock connector. |

It's a hard article to summarize; there's a lot there. I'd just recommend that you read the whole thing. |

Reading suggestions? (Dec 28 2003 16:54 GMT) - So, the last time I read the Constitution was ... a very long time ago. Since I'm taking Constitutional Law next semester, I figured it would be good to reread it. I just did that. Reading it made me realize how little I know about history. |

Had some free time, so I broke the site (Dec 28 2003 16:52 GMT) - Had some free time so I decided to update natrak.net to run the latest CVS version of Drupal. Changed design while I was at it and re-organized the site a little. The update went well, just had to fix a few special modules I use on this site to work with the latest release. Something about the site still bugs me though.. |

RotK (Dec 28 2003 16:50 GMT) - I saw Return of the King yesterday, and it didn't fail to live up to my expectations. This, of course, is a bad thing. My expectations were for it to be a horrible, long movie and it was. Actually, I'll give it something, it was the best of the three movies. I disliked Fellowship of the Ring, despised The Two Towers, but was just unhappy with Return of the King. |

python - spidermonkey (Dec 28 2003 16:50 GMT) - python - spidermonkey. (via Daily Python-URL) Python/JavaScript bridge module, making use of Mozilla's spidermonkey JavaScript implementation. Allows implementation of JavaScript classes, objects and functions in Python, and evaluation and calling of JavaScript scripts and functions respectively. Borrows heavily from Claes Jacobssen's Javascript Perl module, in turn based on Mozilla's 'PerlConnect' Perl binding. Cross-language hacks are always worth a look. |
