ANOTHER UNNOTICED ANGLE (Dec 28 2003 23:48 GMT) - Dean's "corrections" to his comments about bin Laden's trial are as incoherent as his original statement. Here's what Dean said: "When we capture Osama bin Laden, he will be brought to justice and treated in the same manner that President Bush is recommending for Saddam Hussein." (Notice that Dean is presumptuously talking about how bin Laden will be treated. He assumes it will be his decision to make, even as he is eating his own words). |

Lawers (Fieldnotes by BigSweetie) (Dec 28 2003 23:48 GMT) - I visited here today, and met the horses that Mr Brand mention below. They behaved themselves with me though - I asked them to stand in the top corner of the field so that they wouldn't be in any of my photos, and they duly obliged. A lovely pair of horses! But back to the stone. It stands on a very slight mound, and what appears to be a few packing stones can be seen at it's base poking through the grass. |
