Linkt u mee? |

Roundup of Links with a Privacy Theme (Dec 30 2003 23:40 GMT) - I am still trying to catch up with all my email subscriptions - this is a yearly ritual by the way. Last year, I had around 200 unread emails by the end of the year which I unfortunately had to delete without reading. Today I have managed to read or skim the contents of 125 emails with 25 more to go. One subject lacking in my email subscriptions is programming related stuff; since I will be seconded as one of the JDE Developers for the company I work with in the new year, I need to change my reading habits and get stuck into programming related stuff. |

"An Abundance of Caution" Of ... (Dec 30 2003 23:39 GMT) - "An Abundance of Caution" Of course I am just sensitized to this phrase now, but in the car ride home this afternoon on NPR, I learned that Herr John Ashcroft has, "in an abundance of caution," just recused himself from the spy name leak investigation. And though the term was not used, I am sure that it was "an abundance of caution," that inspired production of the quad-fold biligual flyer our household received in today's mail from Plantation Pipe Line Company. |

Let's start today with this jackass story pile of crap in the New York Pos |

Anti-EUrope posters (Dec 30 2003 23:36 GMT) - Last night, while wandering through Soho to a dinner party, I encountered these posters, in Berwick Street. Luckily I have taken Perry de Havilland style to carrying my Canon A70 digital camera with me at all times, so I was able to snap them. (Some other snaps of the Oxford Street Christmas lights were not nearly so successful, unless you are heavily into abstract impressionism.) I do not know who put them up.... |
