Globilization is a classic case. It's difficult enough gaining precision in what globalization means. But nonetheless it has been accused of increasing poverty, harming women, undermining democracy, obliterating culture, lowering wages, eroding labor standards, imperiling the environment, encouraging corporate predatory behavior. Indeed, globalization, according to a new rather well-fed activist elite, it is the new devil that plagues the planet. |
