- So, as some of you know, I wrote a tempalte engine because I wasn't really happy with any of the ones out there. The just didn't jive with the way my head worked. The one I wrote is pretty decent, if I do say so myself, but now that I've been through that process I can appreciate how engines like Freemarker work. What I wrote works well but I now realize that the View and the Controller (a la MCV) are too tightly integrated. The Controller has to know about the structure of the View in order to produce the Model. |
