Stop Loss Orders: It's not your President's National Guard... (Dec 31 2003 03:58 GMT) - Army Stops Many Soldiers From Quitting According to their contracts, expectations and desires, all three soldiers should have been civilians by now. But Fontaine and Costas are currently serving in Iraq, and Eagle has just been deployed. On their Army paychecks, the expiration date of their military service is now listed sometime after 2030 -- the payroll computer's way of saying, "Who knows?" |

Where are the movie aliens? (Dec 31 2003 03:58 GMT) - Every year we seem to get a few horror or sci-fi movies featuring aliens. What happened this year? I may be missing some, but the only 2003 major release movies that had some aliens in them were Dreamcatcher, Good Boy! and Scary Movie 3. One horror movie and two comedies. |

Another Venomous Top 5 List (Dec 31 2003 03:58 GMT) - When I mentioned that I'd be posting a list about where I've misplaced my vibrator, I certainly didn't expect the kind of reaction I've received. After several prurient emails and a curious comment or two, I'm sorely tempted to ask you to list your top 5 guesses because they are probably far more salacious than reality. But then I remembered that EV has already received an NC-R rating which prohibits a handful of readers from accessing the blog from work. If I were to solicit your guesses it might just push me to that dreaded X-rating, and then who would there be besides high school kids in computer class and homeless guys logging on from the public library to read EV during the day? So, without further ado, I present the honest-it-really-happened list. |

Why are so many men utterly clueless? (Phoenix) (Dec 31 2003 03:57 GMT) - Raven and I have been looking for literally months now for another playmate (or two, or three, or four, or....) in our home town. We're doing this mostly via the kinky matchmaker web sites, which is how Raven and I met in the first place last summer. We have a nice, well-written ad that is very clear about seeking fun, intelligent, articulate, and warm people for friendship and more.Yet the typical responses we get from men are things like a guy telling us to (and I kid you not) "stand me on my head and use my ass as an umbrella rack" among other delightful things. |
