A Stupendous Bullwinkle (Dec 31 2003 04:20 GMT) - So, Henry II and I were puttering down the hill, into the cul de sac, and getting ready to wheel into the driveway, when we were greeted by Alces alces gigas steadfastly positioned in our driveway. Henry was scared. This moose was HUGE - one of the biggest that I've seen. Certainly bigger than little Hank. Peter thought that if Sunday's moose was Alces alces minaturas, then this guy should be Alces alces stupendous. |

I know you can't see ... (Dec 31 2003 04:17 GMT) - I know you can't see all of the moose in this picture. But I just loved the juxtaposition of the moose, the trees, the snow covered lawn ornaments, and the shadows on the snow. |

testcase manager (Dec 31 2003 04:17 GMT) - For years, I've been hoping that we'd find the resources to build a testcase manager, something Bugzilla-like that would allow us to store testcases, track test results over time, and most importantly to distribute the testing load by breaking it up into smaller chunks. Zach, Dawn, Myk and I have had many discussions about building this system and I've, at... |

Pour The Wine (Dec 31 2003 04:16 GMT) - Pour The WineI was wondering what it would be like tonight, to throw the first party I've ever thrown as a NON-drinker. It was strange, to buy a bottle of a great Coppola Zinfandel and two Kendall-Jackson whites for my guests and know I wouldn't drink a drop. I don't miss the taste or the buzz, but I guess I miss partaking of the whole business. I found myself asking others to uncork the wine, I wanted nothing to do with it. After my guests left, it was time to give my son a shower, get him in pj's and pop him (protesting that he wanted to stay up past 11: |

Decorating With Flowers (Dec 31 2003 04:15 GMT) - Ask any guy and they will tell you that playing with flowers is their favorite way to spend their vacation. Wait, nobody would say that, but that's what I did today. A few weeks ago, my local Michigan Alumni chapter... |

Diversifying Dairy, Pt.2 (Dec 31 2003 04:15 GMT) - Last summer, the North Country dairy industry was experiencing some of its toughest times in memory. Sustained low milk prices were forcing farmers into debt or off the farm. The depressed market forced many milkers to start spin-off businesses to make ends meet. David Sommerstein produced a two-part series on the trend toward what's called "diversification" in the industry. The series recently won the "Cap" Creal Journalism Award from the New York State Agricultural Society. |

end of the year - a few of my favorite things (Dec 31 2003 04:15 GMT) - [by michael]: I have been horribly busy over the past months with several web projects, work, DJ'ing, friends, and school, and have had hardly enough time left to even browse the web, let alone post to my weblog.
