Re: Updating from RU 7 to current version (Dec 31 2003 14:01 GMT) - Lawrence, I've used Peek-A-Boo in the past and it still didn't make things work as well as bringing RU to the front while it works. I downloaded a clean install version earlier this morning, installed it and configured everything. I was able to upload my first blog post to http: |

Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Videos - DVD (Dec 31 2003 14:00 GMT) - Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Videos is another DVD that I've had for a while but haven't watched until last night. It contains 13 videos from some of my favorite GNR songs. I really enjoyed having flash backs to the day when I liked MTV, when they actually played videos. Comments (0) |

A College Degree in Housekeeping ... (Dec 31 2003 14:00 GMT) - A College Degree in Housekeeping It's not exactly a trend (yet). However, recent college graduates from Hebei, who like many Chinese grads struggle to find employment, have chosen to become professional ayis -- a sort of combination maid and governess -- keeping the Master's house and teaching the Master's children. "I want to hire a high qualified ayi to teach my daughter at home and drive her to kindergarten in the morning," said Li Ying, a company manager. |

Why Do People Hate America?: Ziauddin Sardar, Merryl Wyn Davies (Dec 31 2003 14:00 GMT) - This book sells itself as being an analysis of the reasons behind the current wave of hostility towards the US and its policies. We're victims, U.S. brother claims (Dec 31 2003 14:00 GMT) - I was surprised to see that the two men in question were brothers - JPSOne of two Americans arrested in the Philippines and accused of having ties to al Qaeda has said he and his brother are innocent of the allegations and instead are the victims of an overzealous war on terror. James Stubbs Jr., 56 -- also known by his Muslim name of Jamil Mujahid -- and Michael Ray Stubbs, 55, were arrested on December 13 in Tanza, south of Manila, in a joint operation by the Philippine Navy, Philippine Marine Corps and the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation. Speaking by phone in an undisclosed jail facility, Mujahid told CNN Tuesday he does not have the "slightest idea" when he might be deported to the United States. He said he had been in the Philippines for about nine months when about 12 to 20 armed men surrounded the home where he was staying about three weeks ago. |
