Sony Ericsson P900 vs Nokia 7650 (Dec 31 2003 15:18 GMT) - Having now had a week to play with my new phone I thought I'd do some benchmark tests to see which is better, my new Sony Ericsson P900 or my trusty though now old Nokia 7650. The first test I did was to compare the quality of pictures taken with the built-in camera on each device. Lighting and subject matter were the same for each. I took a picture using every setting offered by the phones. In the case of the Nokia all pictures are 640x480 pixels with 3 quality settings, High, Normal and basic. |

Our Guide to New York's Best Film Parties of 2003 (Dec 31 2003 15:17 GMT) - December is a time to reflect on what we've learned during the past year, plan our goals for the next year, and... well... screw it, look back on the booziest and best parties of 2003! Instead of our usual BUZZ column this week, we offer indieWIRE's highly subjective list of the best film bashes in the Big Apple during the past year. Our judging criteria includes: |

iView Media Pro (Dec 31 2003 15:15 GMT) - Since I’ve got a bit of spare time over the holidays, I’ve been trying to sort out my collection of digital photos and inspire myself to take some better images. New Year's Eve (Dec 31 2003 15:15 GMT) - Resolutions for 2004 Quit Smoking Be a better Christian Take care ~ of myself, my children, my husband, my home, my extended family, my community, etc. Rejoice in my blessings Bare the fruits of the Spirit The holidays are nearly over. It was fun, but the older I get the more of a blur it all seems. It'll be nice to get some days off, (so that I can work around the house and on the various projects that need my attention). With the holidays falling in the middle of the week we have worked different hours and the day of the holiday is always busy with celebrating, so I am quite run down. |

Over at Learning the Lessons ... (Dec 31 2003 15:15 GMT) - Over at Learning the Lessons of Nixon there's the theory that The family that frags together stays together. I think waiting for our new baby to come is making me a little antsy. Mostly I feel good, but I do notice the littlest thing will just make me extroardinarily crabby. Solution: first person shooter video games. |

Blogger News Item (Dec 31 2003 15:13 GMT) - The NY Times asks if CBS paid Michael Jackson $1 million for the 60 Minutes interview. "In essence they paid him" for the interview, the Jackson associate said of CBS, "but they didn't pay him out of the 60 Minutes budget; they paid him from the entertainment budget, and CBS just shifts around the money internally. That way 60 Minutes can say 60 Minutes didn't pay for the interview." [Scripting News] |

A Homo's New Year's Eve (Dec 31 2003 15:13 GMT) - What am I doing to ring in the New Year? Not a damn thing if I can't do something to relieve me of this damn cold.
