Mutilated1: FAVORITE DRUMMER? (The Woodshed) (Dec 31 2003 15:06 GMT) - Paul from Cannibal Corpse is my favorite drummer. He's kind of like the Keith Moon of death metal. Always tight, Always consistent, keeps the rhythm all together and changing, without overdoing it with the flashy fills and shit that just takes away from the song. |

Devil's Den (Fieldnotes by ocifant) (Dec 31 2003 15:06 GMT) - Unlike just about everyone else on TMA, I declined to park on the A4 verge due to the madness of various daredevil drivers. Instead, we headed for the car park at SU159699, and I took a longer, leisurely walk along the bridleway at the opposite corner to the entrance to the car park. The bridleway is bounded on the left by a white topped, electrified fence. I didn't test to see if it was on, but after about 500 yards or so, the Den appeared on the near horizon. It seemed a long way away, and following the ... |

OUR STORY (Dec 31 2003 15:05 GMT) - It's funny how things come together sometimes. Monday, after posting my advice column on blogging time-savers, and saying the most important thing is to get away from your computer and your reading and get out into the real world and give yourself time to think creatively about what really matters to you personally, I followed my own advice. Chelsea and I went for a long walk. And soon my head was filled with rage about all the things wrong with this world and the ten things that still keep me awake at night. And I wanted to know why they go on, ignored, uncorrected. |

Who represents my points of view (Dec 31 2003 15:05 GMT) - Sites like Issues 2000 or Vote Smart show the policies of each candidate and let you pick the one that you prefer. I'd like to see a site that worked in reverse - by asking questions to define your own views, then showing how candidates line up against your own opinion on each topic. This would suggest parties that should be supported as representatives of your own points of view, rather than letting you pick which fan club you should join. It might also help to illustrate the main consistent differences between party policies, and suggest reasons to start political groups of your own. |
