Windows downloads outpace Java, Perl, Web Service, ASP and PHP (Dec 31 2003 19:45 GMT) - We just took a look at the download statistics for E-xact's 3-D Secure and Web Payment Plug-Ins. In both cases, the number of downloads for Windows (95/98/ME, NT/2000/XP; thankfully only a very few are downloading 95/98/ME) are nearly double the number of downloads for the nearest competitor, Java. Next up after Java is the Web Service, which is coming on strong just a few paces behind Java. |
