Helpline Comment (24956) (Jan 03 2004 05:59 GMT) - Paulfxl: Not sure 'bout the OS/2 version, but as I recall the DOS version didnt require any kind of registration number, up thru version 5.5. After 5.5, I switched to Winderz, but that version didn't need registration key either. |

Lakers 109, Sonics 111 (Jan 03 2004 05:56 GMT) - Despite Karl Malone's staying in Los Angeles and Shaquille O'Neal's leaving the game early with a calf strain, the Lakers scrapped and kept the game close late. After Ray Allen and Kobe Bryant traded three pointers in the final minute to keep the game tied, Allen knifed through the Lakers' "defense" and made a layup with 6 seconds left. Kobe then missed a three point shot against the Sonics defense, and that was the game. Lakers lose. The Lakers have lost 5 out of their last 8 games and return to a tie for first place in the Pacific Division (along with the NBA best record). |

Awkward Silences (Jan 03 2004 05:53 GMT) - New Year's Day, for ten more minutes anyway. My phone rings and the caller ID screen says Private. That means it's Mom. But she's never even awake this late. I stand there with four people I hardly I know staring at me and wondering why I don't answer - or send it to voicemail. |

A little EL Lovin' for the DisplayTag (Jan 03 2004 05:52 GMT) - Tim McCune submitted a patch for the Display Tag Library to add Expression Language support. I committed it today, along with a few other enhancements. You can read more on the displaytag-devel mailing list. Tim's patch was a nice clean approach to adding EL support. He just subclassed the existing tags and then evaluated the expressions. |
