Philips and Samsung Agree on Chip Software for TVs (Jan 06 2004 13:24 GMT) - "Dutch Philips Electronics and South Korea (news - web sites)'s Samsung Electronics said on Tuesday they had agreed on a single software standard for chips used in devices like digital televisions. The two top-five consumer electronics makers hope that their Universal Home Application Programing Interface (UH-API) will convince software makers, system integrators and device vendors to write applications for their products." Game Beavers Try Collective Approach To Development (Jan 06 2004 13:23 GMT) - Eugene, OR – GarageGames announced today the launch of its partner site Gamebeavers.org and the demo version of the content now available for independent game developers who want to contribute to gain membership in the nonprofit organization. Established in order to lower the barriers for 3D video game enthusiasts who want to make and sell commercial video games, the organization allows them to use content contributed to and licensed from the Game Beavers non-profit association. The association requires a signed legal agreement and three approved contributions to the collection of game assets to qualify for membership. A person or organization joining Game Beavers becomes a licensed member and co-owner / manager of the nonprofit corporation. |

scuba doo (Jan 06 2004 13:23 GMT) - post workage i sped over to the scuba center to purchase some needed new gear. yeah. i bought a few more things than what i needed originally... i went in to buy a new BCD (buoyancy compensation device) and a new mask. walked out with those, and new 'caribbean style' boots (thinner 4mm neoprene vs the std 8mm) and a bunch of safety lights / flashlight stuffs. |
