Creative Problem Exploration OFFER [Keith Jordan] (Jan 06 2004 16:59 GMT) - As part of my MBA course, I have to carry out a hands-on Creative Problem Exploration before the end of January. Unfortunately, key personnel at my original client will now be on holiday (they do deserve it, though!), and have postponed until February - too late for the course deadline. I am prepared to offer the opportunity to interested ecademy businesses on an expenses only basis. (I’m based in the South-East). |

Mrasnika's configuration system (Jan 06 2004 16:59 GMT) - This class uses an XML file to store a data structure for keeping different kind of settings. The XML file has different element of several data types, which are validated when the settings are stored or retrieved. The settings from the configuration file are split in different groups, depending on the purpose for which they are used in the application. These settings can be modified using the class, and then again saved to XML format. |

AT&T, king of spammers? (Jan 06 2004 16:59 GMT) - I've been getting spams from the @att.net domain. I e-mailed AT&T asking how to complain about spam from their domain. I was told to do a live chat, which I didn't want to at that point. Yesterday (January 5, 2004) I received a spam from AT&T itself: |

Most so-called prion diseases are incredibly rare in this country, although one has spread into deer and elk herds in at least 12 states, sparking concern about contaminated game meat. Yet scientists can't answer the most basic questions about prions, even though learning how the rogue proteins cause sponge-like holes in brains could improve understanding of more common neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. Because they're not considered a big threat here, few U.S. |
