Grumbling out loud (Jan 08 2004 23:55 GMT) - I realize I can not police coworkers, but I can complain to blow off steam to blow off some of the frustration and aggravation. You see, were I work, most of my coworkers, including myself, rely on external funding aka soft money to maintain a position there. There are only a few folks who have maintained the security of hard money and do not face a month to month uncertainty as to whether there will be funding to keep a job. So when one of these said hard money folk spends hours a day playing games on their computer at work and seemingly with no recourse, as this is a recurring problem, you can understand my aggravation. If that person doesnt want to work a full day, I or any other person in a soft money uncertainty situation will gladly piece together those hours to have more money/days to work. |

Musharraf's dance spells trouble for America (Jan 08 2004 23:55 GMT) - The capture of Saddam Hussein made headlines over the holidays but, for my money, the reappearance of Iraq's former leader is old news.
