50th Macau Grand Prix - First Qualifying (Jan 09 2004 01:52 GMT) - Japanese Formula 3 Champion James Courtney followed up his domination of the first Free Practice session by securing provisional pole position for the 50th Macau Grand Prix after a session long battle with Fabio Carbone and Pierre Kaffer. The three drivers were exchanging fastest laps all through the 45 minutes but it was the Australian who finally clinched the top spot with a lap time of 2 minutes 13.232 secs. |
