What I Have Done (Jan 09 2004 21:59 GMT) - What have I done? I have climbed to the top of a pyramid and viewed the surrounding jungle. I have floated down a river on a spider-infested bamboo raft, hanging out with the descendants of cannibals. I have walked through the darkened part of a castle, listening to the echoes of my boots on stone and my leather jacket squeaking while its metal belt tinkled...and began to travel back through time. |

Current Obsessions (Jan 09 2004 21:59 GMT) - Obsessions for the new year, in no particular order: Prowling around with Panther, although I keep expecting to get an angry beyond-the-grave call from Huey Newton. Need a MST3K fix? DIY with the awesomely awful B-Mania channel. Sometimes, I just really miss the old days. |

Panther First Impressions (Jan 09 2004 21:59 GMT) - Finally got Panther this week and installed it... Things I dig about Panther Soft metallization of title bars and reduction in intensity of the gray lines in menu bars. Actual lines in menu dividers. Finder windows, both the metal and sidebars. Save dialog boxes. |

'Keep RPGs out of Mass Media' (Jan 09 2004 21:59 GMT) - You know, when I first saw the title of this entry by David Maduram, I thought it referred to rocket-propelled grenades, which either betrays my old wargaming days or my military-brat childhood. 'Keeping RPGs away from Mass Media is an excellent idea!' I thought.Amusingly, David is bemoaning the popularization of video gaming. As he puts it: |

ouiqui : Marketing someone ? (Jan 09 2004 21:59 GMT) - Sur CorporatePR : A warm bienvenue to those readers from France who have been visiting this blog. If you are a PR/Marketing person in a small agency or a freelancer in the Paris region, I'd love to chat with you. We are looking for partners to help us expand in Europe, and France is our first target (as I spend a great deal of time there). My French is pretty bad, but I am working on improving it! |

Alors pourquoi me direz-vous ?

Why You Should Weblog (Jan 09 2004 21:58 GMT) - I used the word "bitsifter" in a recent article. It's a term the Dad coined in the middle of the 90's to describe the process by which we were handling the flood of bits that were increasingly heading in our... |

Comfortable and relaxed 2 (Jan 09 2004 21:58 GMT) - This is getting really tragic: Costello's supporters are counting on Howard to step down halfway through the next parliamentary term (assuming Howard wins the election - still a safe bet, ed.). Their plans are centred on ensuring the crown does... |

Big Government Lunacy II (Jan 09 2004 21:57 GMT) - Once again, I think we'll be saved from the runaway spending of this Presidency by the Congress. The results of Presidential pressure on Congressional Republicans this year will be a good test of whether the party stands for anything anymore. |

Standing firm (Jan 09 2004 21:57 GMT) - A friend of mine e-mailed me the other day complaining about how it seems like lots of people are buying into the "big lie" that is the left's claims regarding Bush and the war on terror. I e-mailed him back,... |
