G.W. Bush, Space Cadet (Jan 10 2004 06:56 GMT) - George Bush has now been talking about some new space projects, like a permanent manned outpost on the moon, and a manned trip to Mars, at a cost of untold billions. WHY? Sure, it will allow a few more random science projects that otherwise couldn't be done, and there will invariably be some spinoffs from the R&D for an interplanetary manned mission.
