End of the locked out saga (Jan 10 2004 07:57 GMT) - So I managed to catch Jenny as she was coming home. Her attitude about my lost keys was rather... patronizing. It seemed as if she were suggesting that I had left my keys at home on purpose! Anyway, she couldn't find the keys to the apartment, but then chose to go to her friend's place. |

To love wholly, without fear of self or other, (Jan 10 2004 07:56 GMT) - accepting all & with delirious hope of what is to come, is holy. Every moment between us , unfolding the next moment's miracle- that my heart which could hold no more a moment ago , is now fuller again, again, again... |

More on BT and McDonald's. ... (Jan 10 2004 07:56 GMT) - More on BT and McDonald's. BT officially announced that it will build hotspots in over 500 McDonald's restaurants in Britain: BT will pay for the install and both companies will promote it and share revenues. BT expects to have 4,000 hot spots by this summer and said it will continue to make roaming agreements with other hot spot operators around the globe. This story offers slightly different details, including some more information on what's happening with McDonald's hot spots in the U. |

Multi-Columned CSS (Jan 10 2004 07:53 GMT) - Many of you know that CSS lacks the coding to make full length multi-columned (Columns whoses color extends down to the bottom of the page). Well there is a fix to this, but it's quite strange and very hard to figure out with out the proper help (because the concept is strange and on top of that you have to use CSS hacks). I figured out how to do this myself (for the WT website) yesterday afternoon. I looked all over the web for tutorials to help me, but my search ended up empty handed (so I figured it out myself with the help of Jeff Zeldman's source code). Then, today I was surfing A List Apart and noticed that they posted an article about multi-columned CSS pages that they just published today (and after all that work… grr…). |

Opinions on the Economist Leader (Jan 10 2004 07:53 GMT) - This week's Economist leader concludes:There are two great dangers. One is that Islamic terrorists, nurtured by Pakistan's intelligence service for the long proxy war with India in Kashmir, will refuse to accept that they have outlived their usefulness. It would take only one large bomb directed against a civilian target in the Indian heartland for all the good work of Mr Vajpayee and General Musharraf to be undone. This is only a danger if Musharraf's intelligence apparatus does not go along with his stated intentions. |

Wesley Clark on Abortion (Jan 10 2004 07:52 GMT) - It's official, presidential candidate and former general Wesley Clark, is a buffoon: Democrat Wesley Clark said yesterday he would never appoint a pro-life judge to the federal bench because the judge’s anti-abortion views would render him unable to follow the... |

Trumping Reality (Jan 10 2004 07:50 GMT) - I'm going to make an early call and say that The Apprentice, which premiered last night, may turn out to be pretty good television. I'm ambivalent-with-a-side-of-pess about reality shows; I do agree that the slow death of fiction and the... |
