Rip Digital (Jan 11 2004 09:50 GMT) - This is an interesting service: you send them your CDs, and they will rip them to MP3 and send them back to you on DVD for about $1 each. The files you receive are the "highest quality MP3s", and a bit of digging into their site reveals that they are 224 kbs. I usually rip at 256, actually - but I reckon 224 is just about as good. I'd still want to know some details, which codec and version they use, etc. |
