- There and back again left us with pizza for dinner last night. Not that we are complaining, mind you, it was Bertucci's pizza. We did not have quite enough for a whole meal tonight, so we experiment a little with "ricotta balls". Living life on the edge has its rewards - tonight's reward being delectable ricotta pancakes (the ricotta was a little wet). |

- So I found an interesting little "feature" with my Motorola MPx200 SmartPhone. If the phone has been "on" for a while (days), it will suddenly stop being able to do pass-thru connections for syncronizing email. I have mine setup to do email and calendar to a server (Exchange 2003 or MIS) and the rest via Outlook (via the USB cable). When you are connected, however, you are supposed to be able to use the laptop's internet connection to sync to the server, and this is what fails. |

- Thanks for the response Julie, As you are familiar with linksys in order to open up a port you "forward" it to the machine/PC you are using. I forwarded port 5335, 80, and 8080 but still got the "Can't upstream because "Can't evaluate the expression because the name "urllist" hasn't been defined." Have you ever seen this error? It seems pretty specific. Apparently an "urlist" needs to be defined somewhere .. |

Geeky Poker (Jan 26 2004 23:57 GMT) - The Poker Code asks the $1MM question: I sure would be nice if we had a subscription alert service that would send out a daily email on which poker blogs were updated that day (with links). Extending this idea - you would be able to log into this service and check the blogs that interest you to customize your alert. All geeks know the answer is RSS/RDF feeds to an aggregator. Since 90% of the degenerate gambler bloggers are using cheap-and-easy services like Blog*Splat (ack, ptooie) which don't automatically generate those feeds, it's a moot point. |
