Il soulignait dans le "recentrage (sur les missions fondamentales du syndicalisme) de l'autonomie et de la négociation" la continuité avec les origines de la centrale et faisait l'éloge du "réalisme" nécessaire pour "prendre la mesure du possible" dans le partage des richesses. Nous ne discuterons pas ici des divers degrés de "continuités" et de "ruptures" qui jalonnent le parcours de la CFDT et de la "minorité" au sein de la CFTC.
