Probot's 'Shake Your Blood' (Feb 26 2004 23:32 GMT) - For days now a file has been sitting my desktop, "probot.mpg," and today, cleaning up unused crap, I finally opened it. I had no recollection of downloading it or even what it was. I am pleased that I opened it. It is from a musical project called Probot. |

Blogger News Item (Feb 26 2004 23:32 GMT) - Some filets and other tenderloin goodness on their way to the freezer. Not pictured: one on the way to may stomach as another snow day looms. Tastes pretty good, better than a chilidog. Wright’s peppered bacon on the outside. |

Google as journalist tool and/or 'proof' (Feb 26 2004 23:32 GMT) - Of course it's not a good way of finding out how popular a person is, silly. Heck I've got 'em both beat - almost twofold. And, with a name like mine, you can be pretty certain there isn't a heck of a lot of fallout from other people seeping in there. :) |

Missing us (Feb 26 2004 23:31 GMT) - Last night my cellphone rang, a muffled warble from the side of the bed that used to belong to her. I opened my bleary eyes and lifted my head from the pillow, glancing around. The entire bedroom was shrouded in... |

Breaking "The Da Vinci Code" (Feb 26 2004 23:30 GMT) - Rarely has a book of fiction garnered as much critical attention and discussion as Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. I read it, it was an interesting and engaging book but not one that I purchased to have a bookshelf copy. However, I'm apparently in the minority because not only has it been on the best seller list forever (it's ranked #1 at Amazon.com, for example), there are now other books coming out talking about the credibility of the storyline. But there's a problem with that, according to the publisher...... |

Age-appropriate reading (Feb 26 2004 23:30 GMT) - I remember being rather small, and very happily reading Richard Feynman's autobiographies. I should really ask Mama and FatherSir how old I was, because I was cheerfully reading about not only his childhood exploits, but his adult years of safecracking, pranking the US Army, womanizing, drinking, playing in bands in foreign countries, and figuring out what went wrong with the Challenger. I was reading The Wheel on the School that year. swallowtayle had Group Lesson downstairs; I think she was late Book 1 or early Book 2 those years. |
