The Senate stock profits story (Feb 29 2004 04:27 GMT) - Mark Schmitt has an informed post on the topic of the Senate stock profits story that's getting lots of play pretty much everywhere. His conclusion is that the statistical anomaly between the returns on Senators' investments and those of everybody else are the result of the study's small sample size as much as anything else. |

Pointed rocks (Feb 29 2004 04:26 GMT) - I just wanted to throw in the statement that there are an amazing amount of pointed rocks on mars. With the thin air and lack of water there seems to be little if any erosion taking place. Sharp angles and edges seem to remain after eons of time. Hollywood would have a hard time making a film set like this. Oh and by the way alot of them seem to look like pyrimids for whatever reason : |

New URL (Feb 29 2004 04:26 GMT) - I have been waiting and working towards a new addition to my internet portfolio for awhile now, and as of about 8 hours ago it is done. I have now bought geeklens.com through my buddy Jim's company Mindstorm Hosting, which also does domain purchases for clients. I have now moved the entire Photolog over to the new domain, and added a redirect to the new site, and hopefully since I am seeing the url as resolving fine, everyone else will be good. I am hosting on my three years free 1and1 account(no, the deal is expired) and will be posting some of the 123 decent pictures I took on Friday. |

UNTIL . . . (Feb 29 2004 04:23 GMT) - No rhythm, no lyrics, no rhymesNo breath, no mind, no timeUntil that dayWhen you can look at me from afarWith a Jem luminous like you are Who I look at and callMy life, my love, my oneAnd as I speak towards me you runAs I breathe you gaspRunning panting fastUntil I bare you in my arms at lastMy life has yet been completeWith you I found my rightful seatWith you I hold so close so tight so sweetWith you I sense every heartbeatHow I hate for this to end bittersweetYour gentle speech reminisce of a sound so discreteYour consoling touch a soothing harp stringing repeatYour mere presence without I always miss Your hands a drape of tender kissEnchanting a zephyr of sensual bliss Our love for one another as an immortal goddess Eternal flaming and nocturnal as PhoenixBut truly your not one to be compareSimply standing there Youre the Twinkle in the stars glareWhy should I look elsewhere? When youre in front of me hovering midair

Macro look at an old guitar (Feb 29 2004 04:20 GMT) - So I walked into the office last week and what did I see? My co-workers guitar just chillin, so I had no choice but to bust out my macro and shoot away. All images are natural light from a window and shot at F2.8 - ISO 400. Enjoy! |
