Leap day (Feb 29 2004 09:19 GMT) - Today is a leap day -- otherwise known as February 29th, the additional day added to each leap year. If I had been born 5 days later than I was, then I might have been celebrating my 8th birthday today. The 29th February is, as well, the day when tradition dictates that a woman can ask a man to marry her. I'm not expecting a great many proposals myself today, but I'll let you know should any happen. |
