Now the Economist describes (Link requires subscription) how a recent study by two World Bank economists, Carsten Fink and Charles Kenny, questions the size and importance of the "digital divide". Fink and Kenny point out that it is economically efficient for poorer countries to have fewer computers, mobile phones, and similar technology. It makes more sense to compare information and communication technologies (ICTS) per dollar of GDP than ICTS per capita and by that measure many developing companies... |

Raw (Feb 29 2004 10:34 GMT) - Came across this raw food lifestyle recipe book from a friend recently that was very interesting. It's definitely a vegan diet, and one that promotes healthy recipes that is based upon the premise that enzymes that help digest food are destroyed when food is prepared in high heat. |
