Kankei: relationship or connection (Feb 29 2004 13:59 GMT) - Contrary to expectation, drastically reducing my consumption of alcohol triggered a corresponding decline in my weblog output: my previous post was a couple of months ago, at exactly the time I decided to drink less. I stopped doing other things too--watching television in mid-December and drinking coffee in early February--but the connection between blogging and alcohol seems too strong to ignore. |

Clients - What do they actually want? [Colin Brown] (Feb 29 2004 13:54 GMT) - Do your clents want you to tell them the answer/ provide an off the shelf package or solution to their problem, or do they want to get involved in the design, the creation of the solution? Is it better for them to be involved in the creation; to ensure it is something they can actually execute/implement/use? We are all aware of the consultant`s report recommending x, y and z that just sits on the desk waiting for the moment that the company can implement it; which never arises. |
