Februar. |

Schaltjahr (Feb 29 2004 15:07 GMT) - Der 29. |

What's in a Name? (Feb 29 2004 15:06 GMT) - A Potful of Problems: "Los Angeles Mayor James K. Hahn and Councilman Eric Garcetti want to sell off the city. On Tuesday, at their instigation, a City Council committee kicked around the idea of creating an official city beverage or setting up some other kind of licensing deal. From there, it's only a short step to selling off the naming rights to municipal buildings, parks or neighborhoods. |

Scalia Took Trip Set Up by Lawyer in Two Cases (Feb 29 2004 15:04 GMT) - Apparently Scalia's hunting trip with Cheney in the lead-up to hearing his case on the Supreme Court is not the first time the Supreme Court Justice whored for the old-boy network.: "Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was the guest of a Kansas law school two years ago and went pheasant hunting on a trip arranged by the school's dean, all within weeks of hearing two cases in which the dean was a lead attorney. The cases involved issues of public policy important to Kansas officials. Accompanying Scalia on the November 2001 hunting trip were the Kansas governor and the recently retired state Senate president, who flew with Scalia to the hunting camp aboard a state plane." — |

Delaware Events (Feb 29 2004 15:03 GMT) - I was visiting Matt Haughey's A Whole Lot of Nothing when I noticed that he had a listing of area concerts on his page. I thought that it might be a good idea to do some type of listing of local events such as concerts, lectures, plays, and other things that I sometimes miss because I forget about them. I also considered that it might be nice to put the list up on the Delaware Law Office page to keep our readers informed of some to the regional events that they could see if they were so inclined. I noticed that Matt was using a service through Upcoming.org to list the events. |

NetFlix: So Great While It Lasts (Feb 29 2004 15:01 GMT) - I'm really enjoying our NetFlix account which we've had for the past couple months. It was one of the first things I did once we got our apartment here. I've been reading about NetFlix for years now, but never been able to enjoy it while living abroad. Finally I get to create my own queue and enjoy having sooooo many more choices than what's in the local video place. At first we were a bit uncomfortable with the system, used to being slaves to Blockbuster's extortionary business model. |
