Video clips from 'The Matrix' spiced up the service. |

Jacqui Burke accused of Sexual Harrassment. (Feb 29 2004 15:43 GMT) - The Canberra Times is reporting here that "A former ACT Liberal Party staffer who has launched legal action against MLA Jacqui Burke for unfair dismissal is also claiming he was sexually harassed." Now any Liberal who'd want to hang around in a workplace they weren't wanted isn't much of a Liberal (but therefore might fit right in with the Canberra variety). On the other hand you can see a picture of Jacqui Burke here which, if the allegations are true, might explain David Bell's outrage. |

Brawl at the Brumbies - Marist v. Eddies trouble? (Feb 29 2004 15:43 GMT) - The Brumbies beat the Cats on Friday night in the first 20 minutes, and after that there was a game of touch footy which the Brumbies also won. Planet Rugby have a decenty report on that here. But the rowdies at the end of the ground had a decent sized punch on, which the Canberra Times is reporting here and ABC Online is covering here. Certainly a kid in the crowd during the line to leave the match volunteered to me that it was all Marist's fault (the kid was an Eddies boy). Perhaps if schools are going to give out blocks of tickets they need to send an adult along to supervise as well? |
