New RSS Feeds. (Feb 29 2004 18:22 GMT) - I have been beta testing a new RSS feed generator written by Siegfried Weber and as such an trialling a couple of new feeds and a new main News page. I have decided not to recreate all items on the News page but will just take it from now. If everything works correctly I will change everything over once there are enough new News items to make a full feed (probably 10 or 15). |

New York Times (Feb 29 2004 18:22 GMT) - Editing the Enemy Writers often grumble about the criminal things editors do to their prose. The federal government has recently weighed in on the same issue - literally. It has warned publishers they may face grave legal consequences for editing manuscripts from Iran and other disfavored nations, on the ground that such tinkering amounts to trading with the enemy. Anyone who publishes material from a country under a trade embargo is forbidden to reorder paragraphs or sentences, correct syntax or grammar, or replace "inappropriate words," according to several advisory letters from the Treasury Department in recent months. Adding illustrations is prohibited, too. |

Killing Culture (Feb 29 2004 18:22 GMT) - Talk with Mac specialists from the Atlantic to the Pacific and you'll detect an undercurrent of dissatisfaction. It seems they are losing business to the growing number of Apple retail stores, losing influence with Apple itself and feeling a little left out in the cold. [Var Business] See also. |

Portis to Pats? (Feb 29 2004 18:19 GMT) - Your World Champion New England Patriots may be adding Clinton Portis to the dynasty in the making according to ESPN Radio. The Pats would acquire Portis from the Washington Redskins after the Skins send Champ Bailey to Denver. Here's how the deal would go: The Pats send Ty Law and picks #21 and 32 in this year's draft to Washington for Portis and picks #5 and 42. Quite a splash for a team that usually prefers to wade into the water so to speak. |

Slow changes in design & structure (Feb 29 2004 18:19 GMT) - Looks a bit different, right ? :) Yes, yes, I'm slowly making changes to the site, now that I've got (rough n sketchy) ideas mapped out in Fireworks and my mind. Feel very free to comment on anything you don't like, I'm quite open-minded in this area. It's only been a few hours up, but somehow the very light grey looks like shit on the near black background. |
