I'm Paving, But it's Okay (Feb 29 2004 22:57 GMT) - This weekend was the Denver computer show. It's getting worse, unfortunately, UNLESS you're in the market for a laptop. I swear I saw about 100 laptops there this time. Only one vendor with Athlon 64s, and it was the nForce 3 150 chipset (which is not getting the best stability reviews). Oh, and his prices sucked, too. |

HOME TOWN PICTURES (Feb 29 2004 22:57 GMT) - I've posted pictures here from Las Vegas and Germany and other places but never anything from the town I live in. Brampton, Ontario, Canada is a city of over 300,000 and part of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). Not the nicest town I've ever lived in but it is home. Yesterday, I took a stroll around Chingcousy Park which is just a few minutes away is a large area with a ski hill, curling club, tennis courts, mini zoo, sports fields and indoor tropical garden. Here's a couple of the shots I like the most. |

Here's the playlists so far. From Eric Clapton to Rodgers and Hammerstein to the Ramones, each selection has a particular meaning for the day ahead. |

GOODBYE FAITHFUL STEED (Feb 29 2004 22:57 GMT) - This is the first and last picture of my current vehicle that you'll see on this site. A 1996 Chrysler Cirrus that has been my main mode of transportation for 7 years is about to be replaced. Besides being dirty, this car has a problem with the ABS, an oil leak, a transmission leak and the rack (as in rack and pinion) needs replacing. Monday evening, we pick up the replacement. A 2004 Jeep Liberty will take over the job of getting me back and forth. |

Inductive Shrinking the Gap (Feb 29 2004 22:56 GMT) - You can go about things from general rules and move towards specifics. Prosper (Feb 29 2004 22:56 GMT) - I've been looking for a decent way of creating presentations for a long time. I think my search may be over: Prosper is a LaTeX class for writing transparencies. It is written on top of the seminar class by Timothy Van Zandt. It aims at offering an environment for easily creating slides for both presentations with an overhead projector and a video projector. |
