Oscar Party (Mar 01 2004 04:59 GMT) - At the restaurant, one of the managers is an aspiring party planner (whether she realizes it or not). As such, in the recent weeks, we've had a Golden Globes party, a Superbowl Party, and an Oscars party. I was in California for my birthday on Superbowl Sunday, so I missed that one, but being as I'm the regular Sunday evening bartender, I get to bartend these little soirees. Last night wasa fully catered affair, with a disappointing turnout (for her, not for me. I got more food as a result). |

Cant get into my Radio weblog from 2nd computer (Mar 01 2004 04:57 GMT) - I had set up an advocacy radio weblog in December, on my new Apple, and then it crashed big time and will await a shot in the budget before I can fix it definitively. So I downloaded and installed Radio again on my laptop iBook and tried again. Every time I register it gives me another usernum etc even if I use the same names and passwords I signed up with originally and I get shunted to the 'new weblog' and cant reach my own original site to post to it anymore. Can anyone help me? Frank B. |

(Mar 01 2004 04:56 GMT) - Leap Year Since I enjoyed researching my college thesis more than writing it, I appreciate that the Brittanica folks are providing suggested citations formats for the web. [via Hypergene] I don't expect to use these guidelines much, but I hope you enjoyed your Leap Year."leap year" Encyclopædia Britannica |

I Should Just Set It On Fire (Mar 01 2004 04:56 GMT) - And start over. I'm second guessing my decision to use tables for layout instead of CSS. Changing that though will be like starting over and I just didn't have the time this weekend. I did take a few minutes to install Wordpress (a MoveableType CMS alternative) over at abuckshort.org. |

Magic, Magic, Magic everywhere (Mar 01 2004 04:54 GMT) - Magic has become Alex's favorite game. I have to say, I can see why, it certainly is addicting. The fact there are so many different decks means that the games are really totally different. Pretty different from other games where they get to be more or less the same. Right... |

Finally (Mar 01 2004 04:53 GMT) - Just in case you hear bitching about no African-American winners tonight, tell those people to shut the fuck up. There was an African-American winner: Charlize Theron. "But she's white." "Hey, she's darker than Michael Jackson, so shut the fuck up. |
