US Senator Jack Reed Shares his Opinions on Foreign Policy (Mar 02 2004 01:59 GMT) - US Senator Jack Reed (D - RI) visited Salve Regina University today to share his opinions on US foreign policy. Although he agreed with President Bush's decision to undertake military operations against Al-Qaida and their Taliban hosts in Afghanistan, Senator Reed criticized what he characterized as President Bush's "ideological obsession" with Iraq. Senator Reed's speech in Salve Regina's O'Hare Academic Center lasted about about 20 minutes and was followed by a brief question and answer period. |

Los anillos arrasan (Mar 02 2004 01:56 GMT) - La tercera parte de El Señor de Los Anillos, El Retorno del Rey, arrasó ayer en la gala de los Oscars, ya que dicha película obtuvo 11 estatuillas, a saber: mejor diseño de vestuario, mejor direccion artística, mejores efectos especiales, mejor maquillaje, mezcla de sonido, mejor banda sonora, mejor montaje, mejor canción, mejor guión adaptado, mejor director (Peter Jackson) y mejor película. Con este resultado El Retorno del Rey se convierte, junto con Titanic y Ben Hur en una de las películas más oscarizadas de la historia, así como la segunda película con más recaudación (tal y como podemos ver en imdb). Hell in the kitchen (Mar 02 2004 01:55 GMT) - I come home from grabbing a few things from the grocery..when I was hungry no less, yet I only mananged to pick up 2-3 things that I didn't have to get but wanted to try. One of those were some crab rangoons [any fan of a chinese buffet knows what I'm talking about..I love those things]. I open my freezer to put the rest away as I'm prepping lunch whilst putting groceries away only to see that everything in it, has defrosted. |
