CBC Saskatchewan-French town remembers a Saskatchewan hero (Mar 02 2004 03:58 GMT) - "Pierre Le Canadien" Peter Dmytruck was a Canadian soldier who fought and died with the French resistance during the Second World War and he has been credited with saving a small town in the centre of the country. The National just ran a story on this fellow who's heroism is celebrated every year in a town in France. I've never heard of him nor have most Canucks. |
