As you can find on their site "nntp//rss is a Java-based bridge between RSS feeds and NNTP clients, enabling you to read your favorite RSS syndicated content within your existing NNTP newsreader". It allows you to access RSS from news or email programs (Outlook Express, for instance), without an RSS reader. It's basically a Java application you have to install on the server (needs Java run-time) and opens NNTP port (119) for NNTP clients to access RSS. |
