A Neat Trick (Mar 09 2004 20:57 GMT) - I'm reminded of a snippet from a comment I gave three years ago: Back when I started out as an economist there were several years during which it seemed that most of the articles I wanted to write had, I discovered, already been written in the previous decade by Barry Eichengreen. He reports that when he started out he found himself subject to the same phenomenon--only with respect to Charlie Kindleberger. So I spent part of last weekend rereading Kindleberger's absolutely (1978) Manias, Panics, and Crashes, looking for places where Kindleberger had already said what I think before I thought it, and had expressed it better than I can. glen6benton: CC Biggest Selling Death Metal Act Of All Time! (Cannibal Corpse News) (Mar 09 2004 20:56 GMT) - 50 cent isnt even in the same genre as death metal, glen doesnt paint a cross on his head he burnt it in there about 3 times in 92 so i dont c that as being a trend following move i c it as a declaration that that he means wot he is singing about, i dont c them dressing in gay clothes whilst not in the fan spotlight unlike cannibal corpse which only really appear to be wearing metal clothes for photo shoots or gigs except george and pat on occassions, as for the originality just because corpse started it basically minus GWAR they are not origibnal either, and as for insinerathymn, and in torment they are actually fucken good albums for a 5 day recording and being fucked over by a record label, as for pr who gives a fuck how do you think a band sells albums without promotion so just cause deicide finaaly got good promotion doesnt mean a thing what about LEGION. Deicicde wear body armour to help bring out the image of satanism, and make the concert fell more fucken evil, they dont wear makeup and if they were still allowed they would be throwing out the rotten blood and guts, what does cannibal do to make their show fell atmospheric, where is the guts and blood?. Now Playing: deicide |

A new wheel (Mar 09 2004 20:56 GMT) - I got a tip about Distributed Proofreaders and went over to take a look. Particularly at medieval universities... |
