Gladiator 2 (Apr 11 2004 04:57 GMT) - Well, Hollywood has gone and done it again. They've taken a perfectly good already-made movie and dragged the name through slop to produce a sequel, or an idea for one. Sequels generally suck, but here's a reason as to why this sequel is going to suck more! Alright. Lets dissect this sequel, as it stands. |

Age of History (Apr 11 2004 04:57 GMT) - I'm curious as to how many people here have played a RTS History game, such as Age of Mythology, or it's predecessors, Age of Empires and Age of Kings. Anyone that still plays these 2 classics? I realize there are other games, mainly Civilization, but I could never get into that game because it's made by Sid Meier. After he did Settlers, I was scared to even touch a game with his name written o ... |

RealPlayer 10 Supports iTunes Music Store (Apr 11 2004 04:54 GMT) - As much as I hate RealPlayer and the RealNetworks methodology of invading my computer with special offers and other random garbage tied to their player; I'm compelled to applaud their support of songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store (and integrated transfer to the iPod) in RealPlayer 10. The Enpsychedelipedia (Apr 11 2004 04:53 GMT) - A couple days ago I noted that the Seattle Public Library has the magnificent survey of the psychedelic pop era known as Nuggets II. Obviously enough, it's the second in a series which begins with Nuggets, which I'm happy to note is also available. Nuggets focuses on obscure American rock bands; Nuggets II looks afield to the UK, Europe, and beyond, including Mexican and Asian groups. It's really astonishing in the diversity of sources. |

Tough jab at GW's jokes as a satire video (Apr 11 2004 04:53 GMT) - Dan GillmorVia Wonkette, here's a slightly unfair but powerful rejoinder to President Bush's jokes about weapons of mass destruction. Media is in the hands of everyone, and people are going to use it to hold powerful people -- including media people, such as the Washington correspondents who found Bush's performance so hilarious -- to account.People seem to really be embracing web video as a medium and it definitely delivers the message at a different level than text. Very interesting to see how... |

On To Iran! (Apr 11 2004 04:51 GMT) - This mirrors some of the comments I've been seeing here and in other places, that somehow Iran is behind the current insurgency in Iraq. First off, I tend to believe in Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation is probably the truth.... |
