The Yale Typeface (Apr 26 2004 02:57 GMT) - So Yale has it's own typeface. I have to say it is quite fetching. A nice clean interesting alternative to Times New Roman, or other overused serif typefaces. I love The little serif on the 5 in the Admin typeface. The numerals in the Design font are quite nice as well. |

Reunited... And It Feels So Good (Or Not). (Apr 26 2004 02:56 GMT) - Is it just me or does it seem as though a lot of bands/artists from the 70's and 80's are once again hitting the comeback trail? This is a double-edged sword in my book. Certainly there are several... |

Tonight on NPR David Halberstam ... (Apr 26 2004 02:56 GMT) - Tonight on NPR David Halberstam gave a talk about Iraq (There isn't a link to the show, but it is worth looking into if they post it later). He said something tonight that was a little disturbing. Here is my paraphrasing of his much more eloquent presentation: In Vietnam, our enemy was essentially a nationalist movement. When we left, the victors focused their efforts on running their newly won country. |

Cypress Split (Apr 26 2004 02:56 GMT) - At the airport in Dallas? today, I broke down and bought a week-old Economist,* and in it I read about the then-current status of the Cyprus deal?the European Union made an ill-advised deal with the Greek Cypriots that basically let them in the EU regardless of whether or not they held up their end of the bargain to reunite the island, on the not entirely unreasonable but nonetheless incorrect assumption that the Turks would be the more recalcitrant party. Now the other shoe has dropped, with the Greek Cypriots rejecting the deal, and everyone is sort of standing around holding their proverbial Johnsons in response. The moral of this story is Game Theory 101: |
