Broken Promises (Apr 26 2004 17:57 GMT) - Bordering on insanity, going mad A promising youth, turning bad Career opportunities, turning sour As the meaning of life, he can't devour He awoke one morning, his mind exploding with pain Voices in his head, telling him to maim The world owed him nothing, the public didn't matter They told him he was more cunning, than them he was smarter He got out of bed and quickly got dressed As the voices had told him, he was blessed The chosen one, he had become And to show his faith, he was to get a gun He left the house and went to the store He purchased a rifle, some ammunition and more Now find a safe haven, the voices they said For one hour of insanity, there would be many dead He went to the clock tower, in a busy street Climbing to the top, he could feel the heat The voices telling him, to keep his cool He would show them, he was no fool He quickly took aim, at the people below And pulled at the trigger, to let the first bullet go The first body fell, quickly to the ground The voices told him, his future was found He now fired at random, the people they dropped Onlookers ran for cover, screaming with shock The youth smiled with delight, the voices yelled die For all the broken promises, it was all a big lie There was now only one bullet, left in the gun He had killed thirty, wounding not one The voices said son, the last one is for you Take your own life, is what you must do He put the barrel in his mouth and said a short prayer He pulled the trigger, here ended the slayer the voices they ceased, his head blew away All in one hour of insanity, on that fateful day |

home is where your head is (Apr 26 2004 17:56 GMT) - Catalan mediaeval history is Monty Python avant la lettre, and bombardments involving excreta, livestock and human body parts are written into every self-respecting siege, even when there wasn't one.
