The biggest hurdle they faced was that the teacher insisted on NO baby talk! "You need to use 'Big People' words," she was always reminding them. She asked Chris what he had done over the weekend? "I went to visit my Nana. |

Standing Stone Hill (Fieldnotes by Paulus) (Apr 26 2004 18:58 GMT) - There are at least three standing stones around the top of this lovely high moorland - and it appears there may have once been a stone avenue running up from the western side of the hill (close to Reaps Cross, where dead bodies were once rested, along an ancient corpse route). However the main site you'll come across is not far from the triangulation pillar atop of the hill (is this the one you found Chris?) at SD 9509 3027. Defining the Game (Apr 26 2004 18:56 GMT) - Miguel de Icaza writes an interesting entry in his blog about Microsoft's upcoming Avalon and XAML technologies and what Open Source needs to do to remain competitive against these technologies. Unfortunately, after reading the article I got more hyped up about Microsoft's stuff than the work Miguel talks about. Miguel mentions how Microsoft is not doing anything new with these technologies as they have already been done in the Open Source world. Well some of this stuff I certainly did not know so if it has been done, they have not done a good job of promoting it. OS needs better PR people. |
